(books) Themes+Technics

These books will be familiar to visitors at the Whitechapel Gallery, London. They are collections of essays about various themes and are published by the Whitechapel in association with the MIT press.

The books comprise a variety of essays about and around the thematics and technics attaching to a specific interest, as expressed in contemporary art practice.

They are a good place to start looking at the critical debate that surrounds and informs various practices in visual communication. I recommend.
